Web Development

WebFusion is a time-bound Ideathon and Web Development competition where teams solve real-world problem statements by designing and building a functional web prototype or MVP. Participants will ideate, define users and features, and present their solutions within a fixed time limit. The event emphasizes innovation, user-centric design, problem-solving, and practical execution, with teams required to explain their logic, architecture, and design decisions during evaluation.

RULES AND REGULATION

Rules and regulations are subject to change.

1. Problem Statement

Problem statements will be revealed at the start of the event. No prior preparation specific to the problem is allowed.


2. Time Limit

Teams will have 3 hours in total for ideation, development, and presentation.


3. Use of AI Tools

AI tools (code assistants or generative AI platforms) are permitted for support; however, teams must clearly explain their logic, architecture, and design decisions during evaluation.


4. Original Work Requirement

Pre-built templates, pre-developed projects, or previously prepared codebases are strictly prohibited.


5. Development Scope

Teams must develop a web-based solution (website or web application). Any web technology stack may be used.


6. Internet Usage & Plagiarism

Internet access is allowed for development purposes. Direct copying or plagiarism of existing projects will result in immediate disqualification. (The utilization of artificial intelligence tools is strictly prohibited.)


7. Presentation Format

Each team will receive 3 minutes for presentation followed by 2 minutes of Q&A with the judges.


8. Team Participation

All team members must actively participate. Judges may question any member during evaluation.


9. Judging Criteria

Evaluation will be based on:

  • Problem Understanding

  • Innovation

  • Technical Execution

  • UI/UX Design

  • Feasibility

10. Decision Authority

The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
