Step Up Showdown is a high-energy group dance competition where teams compete by delivering powerful, synchronized Western dance performances. The event focuses on creativity, coordination, expressions, and stage presence, creating an electrifying platform for teams to showcase their talent and teamwork.

RULES AND REGULATION
Rules and regulations are subject to change.
1. Performance Duration
Each performance must be 5–7 minutes. Exceeding or falling short of the time limit may result in penalties.
2. Dance Styles
Teams must follow recognized Western dance styles (Western category) or Indian classical/folk styles (Eastern category). Mixing genres outside the category may lead to deductions.
3. Song Selection
Teams have freedom in song choice; however, content must not be offensive to any racial, social, or religious group.
4. Originality
Plagiarism in choreography will result in negative marking or possible disqualification. Original performances are encouraged.
5. Costumes
Costumes must be appropriate and non-revealing, and should align with the performance theme.
6. Technical Issues
A second chance will be given only if technical issues arise from the organizers’ end. No retakes will be allowed for team-related issues.
7. Props & Safety
Hazardous props or risky stunts without prior approval are strictly prohibited and may lead to disqualification.
8. Music Submission
Final music tracks must be submitted at least 2 days before the event. Last-minute changes will not be accepted.
9. Stage Timing
Teams will receive 1 minute for stage setup and 30 seconds for clearance after performance. Exceeding the limit may lead to deductions.
10. Judging Criteria
Performances will be evaluated based on:
Choreography (creativity, innovation, synchronization)
Execution (formation, coordination, transitions)
Expressions & energy
Body language & stage presence
Disqualification Policy
Teams may be disqualified for:
Not adhering to category-specific dance forms
Using offensive music, gestures, or inappropriate attire
Misconduct or unethical behavior
Disrespect towards judges, organizers, or participants
The judges’ decision will be final and binding, and no appeals will be entertained.
