General Rules & Guidelines
1. Team Composition:
Each team must have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 participants.
2. Performance Duration:
The performance should be between 5 to 7 minutes. Exceeding or failing to meet the time limit may result in negative marking.
3. Music Submission:
Teams must submit their final music track at least 2 days prior to the event. Last-minute changes will not be entertained.
4. Stage Setup & Clearance:
Teams will be given 1 minute for stage setup and 30 seconds to clear the stage after the performance. Exceeding this limit may lead to disqualification.
5. Props & Safety:
The use of hazardous props or risky stunts without prior approval from the organizers is strictly forbidden. Violation may lead to disqualification.
6. Dance Styles:
Teams must adhere to recognized Western dance styles (for the Western category) and Indian classical/folk styles (for the Eastern category). Mixing of genres beyond the category may result in a deduction in marks.
7. Song Selection:
Teams have full freedom in choosing their songs. However, the content must not be offensive to any racial, social, or religious groups.
8. Plagiarism Policy:
Any act of plagiarism in choreography will result in negative marking or possible disqualification. Originality is encouraged.
9. Judging Criteria:
Performances will be evaluated based on the following factors:
Choreography: Creativity, Innovation, Synchronization
Execution: Formation, Coordination, Transitions
Expressions & Energy
Body Language & Stage Presence
10. Attire & Costumes:
Costumes should be appropriate and should not be revealing, offensive, or inappropriate in any way. Teams must ensure their outfits align with the theme of their performance.
11. Sportsmanship & Conduct:
Any misbehavior or disrespect towards judges, organizers, or fellow participants will lead to immediate disqualification.
12. Technical Issues:
In case of technical difficulties, teams will be given a second chance only if the issue is caused by the organizers. If the problem arises from the team’s end, no retakes will be granted.
13. Disqualification Policy:
Teams may be disqualified for:
Not adhering to the above rules.
Not following category-specific dance forms.
Using offensive music, gestures, or inappropriate attire.
Engaging in any form of misconduct or unethical behavior.
14. Final Decision:
The judges’ decision will be final and binding. No arguments or appeals will be entertained.
